Here is another hybrid project I did.

I used the delightful kit 'Hey Santa' by Connie Prince and made a free download for this box.
This was posted so late in time, I am not sure anyone really got to use it. I used the prototype to hold a chocolate candy bar for a friend of my son, and there was plenty of room left.

Free Hybrid Christmas Planner

Last week I had the pleasure of working with a digital kit called "All I Want for Christmas" by Connie Prince. I had fun engineering my version of a three pocket Christmas Planner using her kit. The planner is available as a free download on her blog: http://scrapinfusions.blogspot.com/2010/11/hybrid-hot-stuff-freebie.html Sometimes this download can be slow, but your patience will be rewarded with this fun project.

Connie has a new feature on her blog called ‘Hybrid Hot Stuff ‘ where I will be supplying two hybrid projects a month using her fabulous kits. There are other contributors to her blog, so check back often: http://scrapinfusions.blogspot.com/

*** Note: the lists seen in the photo above are from Organized Christmas, and can be downloaded from their site: http://christmas.organizedhome.com/printable/christmas-pocket-planner
They are not part of my download, but a link to Organized Christmas is included in my supply list.***

My computer is back up and running.

Parts came in, I replaced; fixed a few software problems, now I am back up and running. :)
I am not sure if I should go back and post all of the Halloween projects I did while I was down, or just move on and post them next year. What do you want me to do?

Sold the wrong kind of Insurance? Say what!!!

I don't intend to sit here and bash Dell. I have better things to do with my time.
I will say that I have four Dell computers in my house, but there will be no more.
After 16 days and 4 1/2 hours on the phone, I find out that Dell sold me the wrong kind of insurance, so my computer is not covered. I finally did get a refund on my wrong kind of insurance, but now I have a computer that is 4 years old and not covered by any insurance.
Meanwhile I have ordered some parts, and hope to have my computer back up and running sometime after the 16th. I will be trying to do some posts as I can using my notebook, but it doesn't like my camera, so I may not have any photos for a while.

I am so mad at Dell!!!

My main computer has been down since before Oct 15th, and Dell still hasn't sent the replacement parts. They promised me on Wed that I would have them no later than Friday. Here it is Sat, and I am still waiting. I did get a package on Fri from Fedex, but it was the wrong addy. I wonder if my parts are sitting in her livingroom waiting to be be picked up again by Fedex and properly delivered?

Computer parts are on their way!

I talked to Dell today, and they promised that my parts would be here within 2 days. Now let's hope it fixes the problem. I will start posting all of the Halloween items I have been working on as soon as I can. I am not sure I will get 31 projects completed, but I am giving it a good try.

My Computer is Down

My computer is down right now, and has been since Monday night. I am on the notebook, but I am unable to post any photos with it. I will continue the 31 Halloween projects as soon as my new parts get here. Hopefully it will not me very long. Meanwhile I am creating more items everyday. I will catch up on my posts as soon as I can.

Halloween Project #11

Here is a card that was made from scraps, and looks it. I don't really like it, but my son does, so maybe someone else will be inspired by it.

Halloween Project #9

Another reprint of a vintage Halloween postcard. I also stamped the background paper to bring it more up to date with the paper designs of now. Then I inked a flower that was terrible dyed in the first place (blotchy), and gave it new life. An orange brad finishes the card.
Stamp: Fiskars' Spooky Frightful set.

Halloween Project #8

This card was made using scraps from another card I made for my mom last year. Yes, I save every scrap and try to use them somehow. What I can't use goes into a recycle bin that I make handmade paper from.
Either way, the scraps get used.

Halloween Project #7

The cutiepie pictured is a reprint of a vintage Halloween postcard. I love using reprints from vintage postcards this way. I usually reduce them in size, and sometimes crop off parts from them.

WCD and Halloween Project #6

I love Halloween so on WCD I had to make at least one Halloween card. Nothing fancy as I still had to have time to make my OWH cards. I will be entering this in Joan's blog giveaway.

The little boy image is a reprint of a vintage Halloween postcard.
Stamps are from Friskars' Spooky Frightful set.

Halloween Project #5

I usualy make more of a Halloween book than card for John.
He never looks at my blog, so let's hope he doesn't change that and peek this time.
Here is one way to use those twinches I made in a previous post:

World Card Day/Stamp Something's Something to Celebrate Challenge

For WCD I played along with Stamp Something's Something to Celebrate Challenge and made a birthday card that will be sent to Operation Write Home. I find it difficult to do much on the size of card they want, so they tend to be more of a simple and clean style.

Sandy is who I send my OWH cards to and she said she needed more male birthday cards. I still added a couple of silver pearls to make it classy, but still more for a male.

I will be posting some more Halloween projects soon. I went to take some pictures and my camera needed recharging. Meanwhile check out the 31 Days of Halloween going on at Smeared and Smudged.

Halloween Project #4

This is the newest Halloween layout I have made, and uses a Haloween kit from Hot Off the Press. It is from 1985 when John was 12 (I am only 25 year behind lol). It is not the best photos, but at least he let me take them without too much of a fuss.

Halloween Project #3

These Haloween Twinchies were made a while back. I will be posting a project that uses some of them soon (it is still drying).

Halloween Project #2

I made this card for a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge , but forgot to post it (DUH!). It uses two brad buddies from Hot Off the Press.

Friday Sketchers Challenge - Sketch #115

Thought I would try this sketch and make it a Halloween card. I never could find any other embellishments that looked right, so I went simple. The image is a replica of a vintage Halloween postcard. This is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge - Sketch #115.

Thanksgiving Wishes

Thanksgiving!!! What happened to Sept and Oct holidays? LOL

If you know me at all you would know that I always make Halloween cards.
Halloween is my favorite holiday because of all of the neat decorations people make.

I was playing with this stamp from Aunt Amy Stamps that I think is called Harvest Moon, and it made me think of Thanksgiving. That is how this Thanksgiving card came about. It's funny how the sky in the stamped image photographed. It is really a mixture of navy blue and blue/gray. There is no white, but it looks like white in the photo. It looks better in person.

Belated Birthday Card

I made this card for my Aunt Gwen. It is a hybrid card made by cutting out artwork from "Alice in Wonderland" by Marta van Eck (my favorite digital designer). I placed the pieces on top of each other, which created the scenes, after inking them well. You can not tell from the photo but many are on raised dots or strips. This was so tiny and delicate that I decided to never do another one this small ever again. I must really love my Auntee.

New Altered Art item

Here is a mini shadowbox I made from the top half of a wooden chest after I removed all of the hardware. Includes various vintage artwork, some are replicas while others are new, but made to look vintage.

Just Finished a Project

I just finished a project, and then my son had to have surgery, so I will post a photo of it later.
He is home and healing up nicely, but can't do much, so I am trying to take care of both of us. Good thing I am doing better, but it is taking its toll on me.

Doing Better

I have been feeling a lot better lately, but still need some minor surgery. I will still be posting just a few times a month, but I am getting better. Thanks for all of your kind wishes.
Now on to better topics. I have been doing a lot of digi art lately, and have found a few places on line to learn more techniques. I find I spend more time learning and playing than actually creating.
I also scrapped a page yesterday (physically meaning with paper). It was the first time I had since I became so ill. I think the last time I scrapped a page was in October.
I have 8 photos to scan and repair before I can do the next page though. I am still working on the 80's, and the photos are damaged some. No one even thought about acid free back then.

It's Been a While Since I Have Been Up To Posting

Sorry, it has been a while since I have felt like posting. Lupus is a hard illness to deal with at times. I just want to let you know that I am slowly getting better day by day, but this will be a long road for me to walk. I have tried to keep my mind occupied, and I have been doing some graphic art work, okay just playing around really. Here is an example:
